Getting Around Chester

For people with mobility problems

The Dial House ShopMobility Service, based in the Kaleyards car park off Frodsham Street, provides daily use of mobility scooters and wheelchairs to enablepeople with diabilities to access city centre shops and facilities. Wheelchairs are also available to take away on loan.

A Taxis to the city should cost you approximately £4.50 each way. Abbey chauffeur hire will also give you a ring back service when asked.

Walking

Turn right out of the car park, and cross over the Road. Continue over the railway bridge you will see 2 pubs either side of a Road called Brook Street (brick a brake Shop area with Indian Restaurants) Continue down Brook Street and cross over the dual carriageway and join Frodsham Street. At the end of Frodsham Street turn right and you will see Eastgate Clock. Once you have gone under Eastgate Clock you are in the City Centre.

By Bus

The Buses run approximately apporx. 15 mins
Cost: Single £1.20/ Return £2.35.
Last bus back to Hoole is approx.19:50
Please note that there is no longer a Sunday service

Turn right outside the Car Park and turn right into Newton Lane continue down Newton Lane and you will see the Bus Stop by Newton Medical Centre. Catch the No. 53 and ask for the Town Hall. Return Journey Where you get off (Back of the Town Hall) is where you will get back on. Catch the No. 53 and ask for the corner of Newton Lane Hoole side of the bridge.
